Starting from Volos, there are two routes to come to Tsagarada.

The first (coastal) route is as follows:

We follow the coastal road in the direction of Agria, Lechonia, Kato Gatzea, Kala Nera.

Go to Agria parallel to the sea and the train lines, the famous “Moutzouri”.

Just before leaving Agria you will see on your left the railway station of Agria, where it has been recently rebuilt.

The second (mountain) route is as follows:

From the main intersections in the city of Volos we follow the signs for Portaria, Makrinitsa, Chania.

Going up to the top of the mountain we cross Ano Volos, Katichori, Portaria and reach Chania.

What impresses along the entire route is the wonderful view to the Pagasitic Gulf and the dense vegetation from Portaria to Chania.

Just before you reach Chania you will find a parking lot from which you can admire the view of the entire city of Volos.

About 500 m, leaving Chania, follow the road (right) that leads to a ski center. At 600 m you meet the junction to Kissos, where you turn left. From this point on you start the descent until you reach the picturesque village of Kissos.

You will be impressed by the dense vegetation along the entire route, at the beginning you will meet age-old beeches, while as you reach Kissos, chestnuts and apple trees appear.

Reaching the central crossroads of Kissos, on the left the road leads to Agios Dimitrios, Anilio, Makryrachi, Zagora while on the right you continue to Mouresi and final destination Tsagarada (9 km).

This route is 51 km and the time required is approximately one (1) hour and fifteen (15) minutes.
